Minne-SNOWTA.

Snow. More Snow. More and more snow. Rain. Icy roads. Wind. A blizzard hits the small town of Albert Lea, Minnesota. Coped up inside all day and night. What do you do? Well I watched movies and ate with my best friend. Couldn't do much, but we managed to get through it.

COURAGE.

Step up to the plate.. and take a deep breathe. Always believe in yourself, and never give up on courage.

Leadership..

Stand up for yourself. Stand up for others. Show people right from wrong. Help people who are in need of it. Always use kind words. Smile. Respect people. Lead people in a direction they have never been. Show people what life is about. All of this, leads up to.. Leadership.

Stressful..

Have you ever felt that all the wrong has hit all at once? That you want to climb in a hole and only look towards the future? Things come in life and we have to learn to deal with them. Families go up and down. School gets harder as the winter comes along. Sports get to be alot. The weather makes you feel tired. Its hard to get going with the cold. But one thing, we always need to keep our heads up. Because no matter what is going on, someone is dyeing to see you fall.

Have Never Been So Full..

THANKSGIVING WAS HERE. And it treated me nothing but well. A time I was with both sides of my family, to see their lovely faces. To give hugs and kissed to the ones I love. To catch up on our busy daily lives. A time to hang out with friends. A time to eat turkey! Yes..  It was an amazing 2010 Thanksgiving.

Giving

Its the time to say thank you. Its the time to give back what you have been blessed with. Its a time to love the people you love. Its a time to show a friend how much they mean. Its a time to show people how you feel. Its a time for good. Its a time for the poor. Its a time for the holidays. 


-Its giving.

Halloween

Ghosts. Scare Crows. Pumpkins. Candy. Costumes. Orange. Black. Cats. Leaves falling. Fall. Parties. Dances. Little Kids. Trick or Treating.

That is what my weekend was filled with, all of these things and one more... my best friend.

I couldnt ask for anything better, everyone coming together and having a good time. And of course, the spooky nights. Halloween, see you next year!

Beauty

The way the leaves fall. When we have a perfect white Christmas. The way that special someone looks at you deeply eye to eye. When you wake up on time. The way your parents say goodnight. When the house is clean and not one speck of dirt is on the floor. When your day goes great. The way your best friend hugs you. When the sun shines on the ocean. When you look up and say, 'Life couldnt be any better'. That is beauty.

FREEDOM

Freedom.
Being able to speak. Being able to show what you believe in. Being able to go to church. Being able to be not be judged. Being able to have freedom of press. All those short couple things, that mean nothing but the world to us. We wouldnt be who we are, if it wasnt for freedom.

What If We Were All Treated Fair?

Fairness. Such a simple word with a complicated meaning. There are so many different ways people look at it. People getting the same amount of food. People getting more help than others. People getting more love from their parents. But what if all these examples are fair? We will never know.

The Sound of Nothing

Silence. Is it awkward? Is it peaceful? Does it make you sad? Does it make you happy?

Can you imagine if there was no noise in the world? The air was filled with silence.What if students didn't talk? If teachers couldn't speak to teach? If doctors couldn't communicate through speech? What would our world be?

What if everything was done on paper and pencil? Would we have emotion? Would we still get angry? Would we know what emotions even were?

Silence is a question that can't be answered until someone lives the life of it.

Goodbye Weekend, Hello Week Four.

Fast flying two day weekend? It sure was. It was a good one though. Worked, hung with friends, saw old friends, went shopping, and did a little homework.

There is nothing like getting a call from your old best friend in high school who graduated last year asking if you could come see her. That was a definite 'yes!' Ina and I took a trip to Mankato seeing Ally who we havent seen in a while and did some shopping, it was super fun!

Then came work.. Those are not the most fun days but I got through them. Unfoutantely, the golf course was closed due to the horrible floods we just had which made business a little slow, but we made it through.

Then came homework, which is what Im doing right now. But for some reason I dont look at blogging as actual homework, considering I enjoy doing it.

Then tomorrow.. is MONDAY. It is just crazy how fast these two days go by, but that is why Im happy to say I couldnt spend them better than with friends and family. They are the reason I look forward to the weekend.

What Do They Mean To You?

What is a friend to you? What is a friend to him? Or her?

A friend to me is a person who is filled with trust, honesty, and love. I could not be more thankful for the people I call my 'best friends'.

My best friend is a person who is high on life. She is the most outgoing person you would ever meet, and someone filled with a big heart. She never settles for less than she deserves and has a mind that keeps going and going. Her name is Ina. She is there for me at my worst and through the think and thin. She gives the word 'friend' a meaning.


So, in the end, find a person worth living for.. and call them your friend.

And This Is Where It All Begins...

Well here it is, the first blog of the year. I am Katie Falk, and in tenth grade. Im excited to finally be able to get on this whole blogging streek for the rest of the year. I am glad I chose to take Journalistic Writing (J-10) because I have found a bigger interest in writing than I have ever thought possible.
